Your Questions Answered
Q: What is the difference between the Gyro Car and the Go Go car?
A: The Gyro Car uses urethane wheels made in the US, which run smoother, quieter and better than the plastic wheels used on the Go Go car. The Gyro Car comes with a one-year manufacturers warranty and a satisfaction guarantee. The Go Go car is an imitation version which does not come with these guarantees.
Q: What ages is Gyro Car suitable for?
A: The original Gyro Car is suitable for any person over 36 months. The Original Gyro Car can take up to 120kg (or 240lbs) allowing children and parents to have fun together. In our experience, the Gyro Car is enjoyed most by those aged 3 to 12 years, but we have had reports of parents and even grandparents racing around on them when the kids are in bed!
Q: Is the Gyro Car easy to assemble?
A: The Original Gyro Car is very easy to assemble. Simply use the tools and follow the instructions contained within the box and you should have your Gyro Car ready to go within minutes. If you are having problems, please refer to our detailed instruction manual on the website or email us at customerservice@gyrocar.com.au
Q: What surfaces does it work on?
A: Gyro Car works best when used on smooth flat surfaces such as tiled, laminate or linoleum covered floors or outside on concrete, tarmac or paved paths and other open areas. Some wooden floors are great for Gyro Car too, but we would recommend that you avoid use on softwood floors in case of marking.
Please note Gyro Car does not perform well on grass or on carpets or cushion flooring. You may find the Gyro Car will not move or only with difficulty on these surfaces. Try again on one of the harder smoother surfaces detailed above.
Q: Why do the front two wheels not touch the ground?
A: When assembled correctly the two little front wheels should not touch the ground. These two little front wheels are designed as a safety device to stop the Gyro Car tipping forward or sideways when being ridden.
Q: How does it work?
A: Sitting on the Gyro Car all that is required to get moving is to move the steering wheel from left to right and she moves forward. Flip the wheel 180° and the Gyro Car goes backwards.
The two driving wheels are forced forward by the axle at the bottom of the steering column, thus propelling the car forward with each turn of the wheel.
Gyro Car is simple to operate and requires no batteries, there are no pedals, motors or other fuels and no greasy chains or complicated gears. If your kid’s got energy, then the Gyro Car will go!
Q: What colours do Gyro Cars come in?
A: Gyro Cars are available in six colours.

Q: Should a helmet be worn when riding a Gyro Car?
A: Although the Gyro Car is safe to use and, due to its low centre of gravity, not easy to fall off, we strongly recommend that a bicycle helmet is worn by the user at all times.
Q. When would I need to order to guarantee Christmas delivery?
A. If you intend to buy a Gyro Car as a Christmas present, we recommend you order it before 1st December. Christmas is a very busy time for us and the postal service, so we cannot offer a delivery guarantee after this date. In addition to this, when the demand is so high, we may sell out of some colours so order early to avoid disappointment.
Q. Is the Gyro Car safe to operate?
A. If operated in accordance with the operating instructions the Gyro Car is a very safe toy. With no moving parts, a very low centre of gravity and no accessible small pieces the Gyro Car is probably the safest ride-on toy available. It conforms to the world’s most stringent safety standards for toys (Europe’s EN71 and America’s ASTM F963:96a) and is 100% lead free. Please read the operating instructions (and relay these to your child) before operating the Gyro Car.
Q. What if my child doesn’t like it?
A. In the unlikely event of your child not enjoying the Gyro Car, we offer a no quibble money back guarantee.
